Each month we like to shine a spotlight on moms who inspire us. From entrepreneurs to creatives, these women are doing cool things—and reminding us that motherhood has many styles.Â
I was first introduced to Kate Kennedy and her long-form podcasting when she released her three-part series on Mormon Mommy Bloggers. During my marathon days of tie-dye, her two-hour episodes made the hours fly by.
A former Nielsen exec with deep expertise in research and analytics, Kate blends data with nostalgia in a way that’s equal parts insightful, comforting, and fun. Her witty takes on pop culture, social media, and millennial nostalgia always hit the mark — a mix of humor, empathy, and thoughtful commentary.
Now a mom to the adorable Teddy, Kate’s creativity has only grown as she navigates toddlerhood in the Chicago suburbs. Whether she’s unpacking internet culture or reflecting on everyday life, she brings compassion and curiosity to everything she does.
Katie Shober of Beach Reads and Bubbly was another bright spot to come out of the pandemic. A voracious reader, Katie launched her account in January 2020 after friends and family encouraged her to share her book reviews in one place. What began as a passion project quickly took off — and she’s now a full-fledged Book Influencer, building a warm, global community of readers that includes more than 300 Beach Reads & Bubbly book clubs.
Her content blends book reviews, recommendations, and thoughtful discussions — often paired with a cocktail inspired by the story (because what’s a beach read without a drink in hand?). Beyond books, Katie shares beauty and lifestyle favorites, and her Substack features a newsletter, author interviews, and resources for her ever-growing book club community.
Meg Quinn, the creator behind Ain’t Too Proud to Meg, is a Los Angeles–based former advertising executive turned food stylist and entertaining expert. Known for her beautifully approachable cheese boards and charcuterie spreads, she inspires her audience of over 700K followers to create stylish yet achievable gatherings at home. Through her signature product line — including The Cheese Board Deck (which I have!), featured in Oprah’s Favorite Things — and her content, Meg blends creativity, hospitality, and family life. She often weaves in motherhood, sharing glimpses of life with her daughter, making her brand feel both aspirational and relatable.
We hope you enjoy discovering these incredible moms — and maybe find your next favorite internet obsession along the way.
