I have been on a real strawberry kick this summer and have been making tons of desserts using them. This Strawberry Spoon Cake from NYTimes was such a hit with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top or by itself. Check out the Tik Tok I posted making it!
It's been excruciatingly hot and humid in Baltimore the past few weeks so I was on the hunt for a cute casual dress that wouldn't cling to me in the heat. I found this one and love it! It's super comfortable and even though you step into it (there are built in shorts) it isn't clingy or tight. I plan to get it in another color or two to have on hand!
One our most popular prints is back in a new style this summer. Our tie back dress in Farmer's Market is exactly what you want her to wear for family photos, summer BBQ or really anywhere else you may end up. Paired with sandals and a jean jacket and it's the perfect day to night outfit that will have people crossing the street to ask you where you got it.
To be honest, I am not sure what I loved so much in this one but I really did. Sandwich by Catherine Newman is a warm, witty novel about Rocky, a middle-aged mother navigating the emotional turbulence of a family beach vacation while confronting her own shifting identity. As she reflects on marriage, motherhood, and menopause, Rocky grapples with the bittersweet realization that life’s most ordinary moments are often its most meaningful. With humor and heart, the novel captures the messy beauty of growing older and holding on to what matters. I highly recommend this real, poignant and moving novel about what it means to be a middle-aged woman in today's world and all that comes with that.
One of my all-time favorite podcasters, with her astute observations and deep dives into my favorite corners of social media, is the incredibly talented Jo Piazza.
